It would be a hassle, not to mention my suspicion of very expensive, to try and flag down a Snap-On truck for some little welder part. Are replacement parts for those also ridiculously freaking expensive just like anything else that comes on the white and red truck? Are most common parts on a Snap-On welder interchangeable with any other brand, that I might perhaps be able to pick up at a local welding supply shop? I'm sure being a Snap-On its good quality, but being that vintage I'm sure I'll need parts for it. First up, a guy has an older (from the mid-90's) Snap-On MIG welder that I'm interested in. I've been looking around for a used MIG welder and I've found a couple that sound good but I need some info from the brain trust here. A place to talk about how-to, techniques, troubleshooting, welding processes, welders. $30 is the asking price for the machine with nothing else.
